DAP faculty and staff participated in the 2-day Bridging Leadership Refresher Course held at the DAP Conference Center in Tagaytay City last June 26-27, 2018. The activity is a prelude to DAP’s forthcoming modules for the Department of Health and LGUs under the Health Leadership and Governance Program (HLGP). DAP serves as an academic partner for the City and Municipal Leadership and Governance Programs (CLGP and MLGP). The Course was done in partnership with the DOH and ZFF.
Scholars of the Master in Public Management-Health Systems and Development (MPM-HSD) Batch 9 are currently undertaking the Continuing Medical Education (CME) 2, which opened on May 7, 2018 in Subic, Zambales. The opening program included a brief review of the Action Plan and Project (APP) and a de-stressing activity. During their CME, the scholars are expected to present their APP proposals to the APP panel members from May 8 to 11. The APP is an integrative course that challenges the scholars, who are mostly Doctors to the Barrios, to apply what they have learned to address a health problem in their respective areas of assignment. The MPM-HSD is a program of the Department of Health in partnership with DAP-GSPDM.
USec. Gloria Jumamil-Mercado, PhD, MNSA, recently delivered a lecture on the Social Construct of Development and Security during the official opening of the Command and General Staff College (CGSC) Class 63 / Master in Public Management major in Development and Security (DevSec) Batch 11 for the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). The MPM DevSec is a customized program initially designed by the DAP for the students of the AFP CGSC. The intensive degree program aims to produce graduates who could create a space for enduring peace and prosperity based on the interplay among the relevant and substantive facets of national security and development.
